Conquer your Gym Fear


Over coming that gym intimation is a huge fear for most. Walking into the gym for the first time can be extremely scary and can cause extreme anxiety for most. The gym is meant to be a place where you grow physically and mentally not a place to be scared of. Sure walking in is scary, but the fact that you are taking that first step is a step in the right direction.

 

When walking into the gym for the first time you have to go in with the mindset that you are doing this to better yourself. Do not let anyone intimidate you; everyone at the gym is there for the same reason working on themselves. There are trainers that are there to assist you and help reach your fitness goals. Another great alternative for overcoming that fear is going with a friend. Motivating each other, keeping each other on track in terms of goals and finally keeping each other accountable. Keeping each other accountable is an amazing way to make sure that you are going to the gym each day.

 

It takes two weeks for your body to adjust, take that first step in bettering yourself.  Forget all the negativity that is going through your head and tell yourself that, “you can do it.” Once you get over that fear of going to the gym, it becomes something that you start to love. Knowing that you can walk in, forget all your problems, focus on you and make new friends that motivate you is all within reach. Remember that everyone starts somewhere; we all had that fear and over came it. At the end of the day is it mind over matter, do not let anyone derail your success to a healthier life take that step.
