Hey everyone! Vitalize Team here with a few helpful tips on how to properly detox your body… Because yes, it’s important. Whether you are attempting to lose a few pounds or simply flush harmful toxins out of your body, a healthy detox ritual is key.
The #1 detox rule is: hydration. Start each morning with two large glasses of water to help kick-start your metabolism and to ensure that your body’s performance is at it’s best throughout the rest of the day. Adding extra ingredients to your water will further increase your energy and detox your system naturally. Here are some of our favorites:
Lemon, lime, grapefruit, apple, pineapple – each are packed with antioxidants and enzymes that aid in the body’s natural detox function, eliminating waste and harmful agents more rapidly. Plus, they taste good.
- Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is one of the best kept secrets in the world of health and wellness. Full of vitamins, minerals, and enzymes, apple cider acts as a general ‘toner’ for your insides. It soothes digestive tissues, has antiseptic/antibiotic effects, and increases weight loss. Acetic acid will suppress appetite (by lowering the hypoglycemic index) and reduce water retention all while balancing your body’s natural pH level and even improving skin tone! *Apple cider vinegar should only be taken in small quantities throughout the day; we suggest 1-2 teaspoons of unprocessed/unfiltered apple cider vinegar diluted in water with lemon slices and organic raw honey.
